Interoperability and the Ethernet Ecosystem webinar panelists will discuss the multivendor integration showcasing a live 400 GbE switch fabric, an implementation of Flex Ethernet (FlexE), 100Gb/s per lane over a direct attach cable (DAC) and analysis of PAM4 signaling, and a broad array of the latest Ethernet products and solutions. Providers of interconnects, switches and routers, and test and measurement equipment participated in the multivendor integration staged at Teledyne LeCroy, Inc., in preparation for the Ethernet Alliance’s demo at OFC 2020, scheduled for March 10-12, 2020 (the demo at OFC 2020 was subsequently canceled because of safety concerns related to COVID-19).

Moderator: Greg McSorley, Ethernet Alliance President, Technical Business Development Manager

Greg McSorley is the Technical Business Development Manager at Amphenol Corp. The bulk of his high-tech career was spent at Data General and EMC designing and testing packages for EMI integrity, and high speed interconnects. Currently, Greg has focused his expertise on designing high speed interconnects, including SCSI, FC, IB and 10GbE. Greg leads the company’s standard committee activities and continues to be involved in the T10, T11, OIF and SFF committees and the IEEE and Ethernet Alliance.

 

Participant: Anabel Alarcon, Product Specialist, Transport and Datacom Business Unit, EXFO

Anabel Alarcon is Product Specialist for EXFO’s Transport and Datacom business unit, responsible for supporting service providers worldwide throughout their network test and measurement activities. With 10+ years of experience in troubleshooting IP, MPLS and mobile backhaul technologies, she plays a key role within several innovative initiatives that aim to help data centers and network equipment manufacturers to overcome the challenges of deploying high-speed technologies. Prior to EXFO, Anabel was Technical Support Engineer for a global Tier-1 carrier.

 

Participant: Dave Estes, Ethernet Alliance Board of Directors, Staff Hardware Engineer, Spirent Communications

Dave Estes is a Hardware Engineer at Spirent supporting new product and standards development. With extensive experience in test & measurement, Dave is involved in IEEE 802.3 and OIF standards groups, also participating as Ethernet Alliance’s Technical Lead for interoperability demonstrations at industry tradeshow. Dave is serving as a Board of Director for Ethernet Alliance.

 

Participant Bob Wagner, Product Line Manager, Data Center Connectivity & Pathways

Bob Wagner has over 25 years of experience in Product Management, Marketing, and Sales for Panduit, Molex, and Cinch working on high speed copper and optical fiber interconnects and cabling.
