Brian Rhoney is Vice President, Commercial Technology for Corning’s Data Center Business Unit (DCBU), a role he assumed in November 2025. He is responsible for leading technical engagement with strategic accounts to drive the adoption of new solutions which support customers’ AI infrastructure deployments and advance Corning’s growth strategy.
Since joining Corning in 2001 as a Product Development Engineer in Flame Retardant Cable, Brian has held leadership roles spanning product development, systems engineering, product line management, and market development. Early in his career, he transitioned into Systems Engineering, where he helped customers design and deploy system-level data center solutions. He later joined Product Line Management, managing several data center product portfolios and contributing to the development and commercialization of Corning’s flagship EDGE® data center platform.
Throughout his career, Brian has worked closely with customers to address complex technical challenges and accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies. He has witnessed the evolution of the data center industry from traditional enterprise environments to cloud-scale architectures and hyperscale deployments, and now to the rapid expansion of AI-driven infrastructure. In his current role, he partners with industry-leading customers to align Corning’s technology and innovation roadmap with the next generation of data center growth. Brian is a passionate innovator and problem solver as confirmed with his 16 granted patents. He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master of Business Administration from Lenoir-Rhyne University.
