Dr. Jose Castro is a Distinguished Engineer in the Fiber Research Group at Panduit. He has authored several publications on optical fiber communications, holography, and photonic integrated circuits. He actively contributes to IEEE and TIA, served as editor for Fibre Channel standards, and received the 2019 INCITS Technical Excellence Award. His work includes advanced modeling and testing of lasers and fiber optics for next-generation optical systems, while addressing real-world structured cabling and connectivity challenges for traditional and AI networks.
