Embracing its milestone 50th anniversary, the Ethernet Alliance cordially invites you to take part in its fun Rock the Roadmap photo contest, where you can show off your copy of the Ethernet Roadmap to the world. Participation is easy – just snap a photo of yourself alongside your Roadmap and share it on social media, and you could win some great prizes! Contest Dates and Eligibility:

  • Rock the Roadmap contest period: Aug 21 – Oct 3, 2023.
  • Open to participants worldwide, 18 years or older.
  • Open to the general public and Ethernet Alliance member companies, excluding Ethernet Alliance employees, vendors, and contractors.

How to Enter:

  1. Follow Ethernet Alliance on Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn (choose one).
  2. Post an original photo featuring you and the Ethernet Alliance Ethernet Roadmap.
  3. Include the #RockTheRoadmap hashtag and tag Ethernet Alliance for easy identification.
  4. Ensure your post is set to “Public.”

Entry Guidelines:

  • Original photos may be submitted by the depicted person only.
  • No inappropriate, offensive, or copyrighted content.
  • Minimal use of filters or heavy editing.
  • One entry per week via a single platform (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn).

Winner Selection:

  • Weekly winner chosen from eligible entries across platforms.
  • Submission deadlines: Fridays at 11:59 pm Pacific time.
  • Weekly winner announced on Monday afternoon after each week’s submission deadline.
  • Weekly winners entered for Grand Prize drawing on Oct 3, 2023, during ECOC in Glasgow; Grand Prize winner need not be in attendance to claim the Grand Prize.
  • Winners announced on and contacted directly through social media.

Prizes:

  • Weekly winners: Ethernet Alliance gear/items chosen by Ethernet Alliance.
  • Grand Prize: Collector’s Edition Ethernet Roadmap signed by Ethernet co-creator Robert (Bob) Metcalfe.
  • Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable for cash, and hold no cash value.

Rights, Usage, and General Terms:

  • Entrants grant Ethernet Alliance rights to use and share submitted photos, with credit.
  • Ethernet Alliance not liable for contest-related issues.
  • Judges’ decisions are final.
  • Entrants retain ownership of submitted photos.
  • Must adhere to contest rules; Ethernet Alliance may disqualify rule-breaking entries.
  • Ethernet Alliance can modify or cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Contest not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
