The 2018 Ethernet Roadmap, the industry’s only Ethernet roadmap, is here! Created by the Ethernet Alliance, the Voice of Ethernet, this map will provide the industry with the directions needed to navigate the many roads making up today’s Ethernet Eco-system. And with all the new standards released by the IEEE 802.3 Ethernet Working Group and the supporting technologies, navigating today’s Ethernet has grown increasingly complex.
When looking at today’s Ethernet, the application space must be considered before the relevant speeds and solutions can be determined. The 2018 Ethernet Roadmap will help users plot their path through the myriad of rates and solutions available today. Ethernet nomenclature is explained, as well as technical reference material that will help users understand how Ethernet is achieving 100GbE, 200GbE, and 400GbE. The map is beautifully drawn and packed full of information.
The roadmap is broken into two parts:
- A two-sided, illustrated map that illustrates the speeds and application spaces on the front side and the Ethernet ecosystem and technologies on the backside. This map is available in as well as a folded, printed map that will be given away at various Ethernet Alliance events. The map has enough resolution to print on a 24” x 36” poster.
- Two presentations that contain the graphics from the map for people to use in presentations. The link below provides a zip folder with all 2018 Roadmap Graphics.
Free copies of the folded map will be given away at various Ethernet Alliance events and panel sessions throughout the year.
