Xiang He – Huawei
Xiang He is a distinguished engineer and director of Huawei’s Ethernet Research Lab, where he spearheads advancements in high-speed interface technologies for Huawei’s DataCom product line – switches and routers. His expertise spans physical layer and link layer technologies, with a focus on signal processing, forward error correction (FEC), congestion control, and network reliability.
With over eight years of active involvement in IEEE 802.3 and the Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF), Xiang has made significant contributions to various projects and serves on the editorial teams for IEEE 802.3df and 802.3dj. Before joining Huawei, he developed DOCSIS and PON solutions at Motorola Mobility and contributed to the DOCSIS 3.1 standard.
Xiang holds a B.S. degree in Space Physics with a double major in Electronics from Peking University, China (2006), and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University (2011).
